Re: hePEX Primary Piping
No issues what so ever... The system was cleaned and treated w/ Fernox
Re: What brand of radiator air vent do you suggest/avoid ?
I concur with comments to avoid Big Box Stores that won't miss your business. Do, buy from your local Plumbing Supply store if available in town and keep these knowledgeable small businesses in business that provide quality advice and products

Re: Adding SurgeX
8-way for the win. Just be aware that you might dislodge sludge, which will need to be drained out and flushed up at some point.
Re: What brand of radiator air vent do you suggest/avoid ?
Wouldn't use VV if I got it for free.
Re: weird noises from circulator pump.
Sorry EdTheHeaterMan. With the kids coming in and my phone doing it's own clicks it went to post without my full input. Updated all the info and added some pics and a video Inside the zip file.
Re: Old coleman propane furnace blues..
Is this a mobile home furnace? From what you described I would check combustion air supply and gas pressure. With LP you could have a regulator that is only for the furnace that is failing. That would explain why the other appliances aren't affected. If it is a mobile home furnace then typically the hot surface igniter is also the flame sensor. Never liked those setups.
Re: Old coleman propane furnace blues..
Could be a bad Heat exchanger flame lights ok then goes crazy when the indoor blower starts
Re: Ecobee pro rebooting
Take the thermostat off the mount. Now. With the transformer connected and on, what voltage do you measure between Rc and C? Between Rh and C? Between Rh and W? Pay no attention at this point to the wire colours. Just voltages.
Re: Constant circulation
I've essentially obtained constant circ in my home by utilizing tekmar controls and thermostats. I have a conventional oil boiler and zone valves controlling 5 zones (two radiant underfloor with aluminum heat transfer plates, and three utilizing Runtal baseboard). All zones are supplied heat from the boiler via variable speed injection mixing. The living/dining/kitchen zone (radiant plates) is the hardest to heat so it has assumed the "controlling" zone duties. With the indoor feedback feature of the tekmar t-stats, and a deep outdoor set-back curve on the tekmar boiler control, the tekmar system has "learned" how to maintain the setpoint of the living room; no more, no less. With the variable speed injection, I can mix the supply water down to very low temps if needed and not worry about boiler flue gas condensation. By varying the supply water temp with VSI, my living room zone never quits calling for heat, yet never overheats. I always come down the stairs and step on a nice, warm wood and tile floor. Nothing like it on a frosty -40 below morning here in Fairbanks, AK. My wife thinks I'm a freakin' genius. Don't tell her different….
