Re: Recommend a towel bar radiator
It looks better in white but as always, beauty in the eye of the beholder :)
The nice part about this type of design is you can slide the towels off and it sits pretty close to the wall so it doesn't take up much space.

Re: ? actual difference between hot water heaters from supplyhouses and big box stores
The dumpster.

Re: Seeking your thoughts regarding a boiler/system upgrade for a small 1980s ranch.
Yes, but I've already looked at the 49 that rank above this;)
Re: The "equalizer" is mis-named. It does nothing to equalize anything.
I used 45s but in reality unless your water quality is total garbage there won’t be any water in there anyway.
Normal water never goes up to the header, only oily or very dirty
Re: ? actual difference between hot water heaters from supplyhouses and big box stores
water heaters and hot water heaters difference
Re: Funny but not so funny
I too have a funny-not-so-funny water story. Some time ago, they repaved my street. The very next day, I could hear water running into the storm sewer, not far from where I expected the old galvanized water service to be. By coincidence, there was a water dept truck parked a few lengths down. I called him over & said "You hear that? It started yesterday." He listened for a minute, then his eyes got big & he replied "You should tell someone about that!"
I said "I just did."
The landlord of that place has filled the sinkhole in the yard several times now.

Re: Heat Exchanger for DHW-Wiring Diagram?
Is your current system still the Wood Boiler with the electric water heater tank?
That HX idea from a gas boiler is easy to wire…. I want to know what gas boiler you have decided to use? That will determine what relay is your best option based on the boiler's onboard control system.
EDIT: for @jesmed1 : 🎶 Do-wop do be do. 🎶
Re: Heat Exchanger for DHW-Wiring Diagram?
@Cyclist77 And your current DHW setup is…what?
@EdTheHeaterMan is the wiring diagram guru when he is not backup singing…

Re: The "equalizer" is mis-named. It does nothing to equalize anything.
the facts aren’t mine, I just report them.
If you see a flaw in them I always welcome a correction.
I showed that pressure doesn’t affect the waterline in a one pipe system.
If you see a problem with my process or reporting please share. Or you can keep attacking me personally, as you have repeatedly done despite my continued attempts to be civil.
Re: Funny but not so funny
Your humming noise was most likely that fact that those pipes forgot the words. By placing Sheet Music near the water meter, you may have not heard that humming. I guess those singers were from a night club since you didn't hear them during the day time.
As for me, I only sing when my car is in reverse. I'm a backup singer!
