Re: Constant Circ to balance room temp? Or add more baseboard
Yeah, the deck is stacked against you with that install. I'd start over with a proper LLH installation.
Don't let Viessmann see that install it, they'll choke on their weinerschnitzel

Hey, I just learned -41 is the approximate meeting point of C and F. And it only took me 56 years. For a second there I thought Google was broke or I entered the Twilight Zone.
Anyway, Viessmann is all about constant circulation. An indoor sensor. An outdoor sensor, and off you go. But of course it must be designed and piped correctly.
Maybe the least invasive would be to replace the thermostat with something like a Honeywell T9 where you could connect wireless sensors.

Oh yeah!
And the three laws of thermodynamics:
Furst Law: you can't win.
Second Law: you can't even break even.
Third Law: your initial stake is zero.

Re: NEST With Two Wires
Really?

I can't believe that @pecmsg has agreed with something relating to the NEST Hockey Puck. I never thought I would see the day when he said something even remotely positive about it. Is the world coming to an end? Has Hell frozen over? What other strangeness can we expect in this year 2024?

Re: oil furnace sooting extensively
@EdTheHeaterMan - I feel like I want to assemble these posts into a printout and put in my drawer.
BTW my favorite nozzle trick is to put the "probably still good, keep it as a backup" back into the nozzle tube container that the brand new one came in. Just mix the new and maybe-good nozzles up in a box to keep things interesting. If we cant laugh at ourselves now and then, we're not having fun.

Re: Triangle Tube parts warranty
Most of the screens are made of 1/2 square material. The vermin are small moles and mice, which can get past that size. Found small dried up skeletons inside. Installed screen, problem solved..
Main concern was chewing on wiring.
Installed similar size screen around Inlet on concentric also. Used a shop vac exhaust to clean out the inlet, stuck the hose up the inlet in the boiler and blew it outside. Was amazed at amount material they brought in.

Re: Heat not keeping up
-35 is so cold that Celsius and Farenheit get together and agree
