Re: high velocity ac
If you mean the duct is insulated on the inside like with duct liner, I have never seen round duct that way. Round metal duct insulated on the outside with fiberglass or Armaflex or Pre insulated flex duct
Re: high velocity ac
high velocity system ducts are critical. # of takeoffs per ton MUST be designed properly

Re: Need help with Radiant How to go laying panels over existing floor
typically radiant walks are limited to the lower 3’, so mostly out if harms way for picture hanging etc.

Re: Need help with Radiant How to go laying panels over existing floor
I have to admit the radiant walls make me nervous. I want to put labels on the wall “do not drill or nail - buried radiant piping”. 🤣😀🤪

Re: Adding a radiant manifold to existing single zone loop
Not a condensing boiler.
Look at the vent pipe. A condensing boiler would use a plastic vent pipe because all the flue gas condensation would rot the galvanized vent connector away in a year. According to the manual this is a better way to do the near boiler piping if you want less problems with air in the system.
Assuming that you are connecting to standard Baseboard heating units with 3/4" copper tube. The circulator on the return indicates the installer didn't read the manual and followed the directions his father who taught him to do it that way.
Re: Questions about a steam system
I'm thinking the circ was for DHW, an old indirect off previous boiler, or abandoned when last tank went, or
Re: I'm getting solar panels. I'll let you know how it goes in this discussion thread.
wow, the permitting and inspections are a slow process in NJ.

Re: Need help with Radiant How to go laying panels over existing floor
I second the recommendation to abandon the floor heat and go to radiators.
