Re: Central A/C refrigerant leak - 12 year old Lennox system
the drier can be installed inside near the air handler. That prevents the rusting.

Re: Just wondering
Yeah, that was my experience as well. Just bad workmanship. Bolts missing in the heat exchanger, labels falling off, bent cabinet pieces, etc.
When it was running right, the efficiency was very good though.

that’s not how stop leak works.
Personally stop leak is snake oil!

Re: Replacing 17 year old oil fired boiler/need help
You better have a very large house if they think you need 125-150k btu. Or no insulation. Do your own heat loss before doing anything. As an example, I put a 175 k btu in an older six plex apartment building, and it is also feeding a 100 gallon water tank. Do not oversize your boiler!

Re: TurboMax 30-3 or HTP Superstor Ultra-Max MSSU-45 Help!
I think you just cleared up some of my confusion in my response to @pedmec. Basically there's no difference in terms of the cold start of a boiler between the Turbomax and the SuperStor. Is that correct?
Re: Just wondering
Yes October/November. They knew they had a problem and hoped it would magicly heal over the summer
Re: TurboMax 30-3 or HTP Superstor Ultra-Max MSSU-45 Help!
Some indirect brands are bumping up the coil sizes to work better with lower SWT, especially when paired with condensing boilers. Maybe that is the case with the ultra max?
If the 40 has served you well, either of those should perform as well or better for DHW capacity.

Re: Is my heat exchanger hosed?
I don't recognize the pics, but whatever it is there are definitive cracks present.
Re: Myers C48D53B86 jet pump- Help
that is the best option as it is hard to “bump” it open, or break off like the previous wing type
