Re: Better Quality Low Level Carbon Monoxide Monitor/Detectors
Sal, would you like someone to come to your house for a CO problem that knows less than you?Of course not. Does it not make sense that someone who knows enough to have purchased and installed a low-level CO monitor would know enough to vet tradespeople before selecting one to deal with a CO problem?
...As to who do you call if your low level CO alarm goes off, I think most people would know enough to at least call their fuel supplier (gas or oil) or just call the local fire department. That isn't rocket science. They certainly aren't going to call a distant limited supplier of the alarm, even if there was some hope that said supplier could or would be able to respond effectively...It's very nice to be in violent agreement with Jamie this time.
Re: Cast iron radiator at high flow rate
I think we should send @ethicalpaul over there with his video camera, Bob. Between the two of you liking to test theories out and Paul's ability to tell the story on camera, you two can start a Norm Abrams, Bob Villa type show called "This Old Radiator" on the HeatingHelp channel. You guys will need a theme song.

Re: Burnham Boiler Firing and stopping, then firing again immediately.
Yeah. Call someone who knows what they are doing.
Welding a Cracked Boiler
Silly question, but it crossed my mind.
Anyone ever hear of someone welding or repairing a cracked boiler?
I assume it's possible... right?

Re: Steam Boiler pressure set too high in apt buildings!! Help!
How many times do you guys hear that pressure is required to push condensate through traps?

Re: planning for possible future air-to-water heat pump with hydronic baseboards
Is running a monobloc on straight water something that is seriously suggested by climate activists?
Please don’t make this about politics. We can agree that a mono block doesn’t make sense with glycol in freeze prone places without torching another thread.
