It could be the capacitor or the motor. My meter leads won't reach from here to test though.

Re: Wood-fired Steam Heating
You'd probably have to fabricate one yourself. I have no personal beef with wood heat -- for a number of years it's what I used. At the time I lived in a very rural setting and was much younger. The vast majority of the population would find it difficult, at best, to utilize wood for heat...
Re: goodman central ( GSZ140301 ) 14 Sheers , 2.5 ton
Nests and Tiger loops cause more problems than they solve. And that is a fact. The cause more problems that you hear about, not more than they solve,
I know of at least 25,000 tiger loops were installed without anyone ever coming to heatinghelp.com to say
I Just installed Tiger Loop and it solved all my problems. Can you tell my why I did not have a problem?
The Nest thermostat is another storyThe folks who install them always call @pecmsg to tell him how much they love all the features.

Re: Leaky siteglass
When I had a one pipe steam system and serviced the sight glass I would wait around long enough after a call for heat - the minute or thereabouts after shutdown when that system would drop into vacuum briefly - to make sure there were no such bubbles. Also keep in mind you won't see any bubbles if it's the top grommet leaking under vacuum. So if you have a vacuum leak like this and bubbles, probably a good idea to repeat whatever tightening you need to do on both the bottom and top grommets.
On vacuum systems I sometimes see bubbles rising from the bottom up to the water level. This indicates a slight air leak at the bottom grommet. A bit of tightening on the lower compression nut stops the bubbles.
