Re: J.P. Ward
I hope not. Ive only used Ward fittings for near boiler piping and oil tanks.
Re: Trane Air Handler Fan Constantly Running
i think it is more or less the dotted wiring on the schematic, with some of the wires different colors and the wires junctioned on the start cap rather than the run cap.
Re: filter size
What else do you plan on doing? And do you have the right tools/skills to do it properly? Especially proper bleeding and settin up combustion?
Why is it leaking? Was the previous one installed incorrectly? Is it leaking out the bleeder screw?
It’s a General 1A-25a, or better 1A-25b bio rated.
Re: Trane Air Handler Fan Constantly Running
@EdTheHeaterMan , all we carry is the Turbo 200, 200X, and Mini. There's too many to stock individuals. The big ones don't typically fit the original strap, so I always have a roll of vinyl Band Iron, or as some call, Plumbers Roll.

Re: solo 110
What is the pressure reading on the boiler? Assuming you have a working, accurate gauge somewhere. A spinning circ with no water is a concern.

Re: Who owns who?
Cordless power tool? DeWalt. Been using them for decades. So far, I have not noticed any cheaping out.

Re: Who owns who?
Quality is gone. Tools will be throw a way. They will build them just 'good enough"
Milwaukee stuff used to be great. You couldn't buy it in a big box you had to go to an industrial supplier, or an electrical or plumbing supply. Same with B & D Industrial.
Professionals won't put up with crap but the tools won't last 30-40 years either. I have a 3/8 Milwaukee corded drill bought new in 77'. It will break your wrist.
Re: Replacing large steel pipes going to/from hot water boiler to cast iron radiators with PEX
my gravity system was installed 1918. Redone in 2012. The risers are still original. So your saying I need to replace them?

Re: Vent placement in home 2-pipe steam heat system
@pacoit , this is starting to look like "paralysis by analysis". You have to start somewhere, and we've given you a great starting point. Get a #2, put it on the long main, and go from there.
