LOL…..Wire brushing the thing might take the corrosion scab off too much.

I've seen leaks like this last for decades. The thing will probably heal with corrosion before it begins to drip water physically.

@rossn Repairing this depends on your comfort level. If it were mine, I'd list it at a lower point on my to-do list.

Obviously leaking at the valve assembly point. Now unfortunately you have an expensive piece of propress junk. With propress its probably $30-$40 worth of fittings to scrap

Check to see if the stainless well with all the sensors are inserted is leaking .. If so replace well and thermistors .. Top of boiler

Beware .. The control stays on Auto , manual mode you need to adjust the boiler temperature, and if there is a indirect , the hot water pump will stays on constant. The boiler temp and the hot water temp will match the boiler temp setting .

Ok. You upgraded the boiler by adding the Spill Switch and Rollout. That's good. But the wiring to the Rollout is obviously suspect. It needs to be protected.

The burns could be due to poor draft, or it could be due to poor crimps. Both need to be checked. Either way, by posting about the bracket, you brought a possible problem to the keen eyes of the people here, who are only trying to help make sure things don't go boom.

I'm going with bad crimps. And with the insulation gone, are the wires touching each other?
