With the unit running and cooling, you could pull the disconnect, wait 10 minutes and plug it back in. Then wait for it to start. It should start slow and ramp up. See if you can pinpoint it. Is everything registered? Warranty?

14 yrs and counting 150 NTI. Heating a 1910 CI Radiator house of 2600 sq ft. Single zone circ pump w/primary/secondary circuit. 3 yr combustion chamber clean and one time replacement of igniter. Takes a lickin, keeps on ticking!

@tocker That’s not going to happen. The owners spent a lot of money to get the mass to drive efficiency. Changing radiators to smaller ones would mean increasing the heating curve; reduced efficiency.
The existing heating curve is approaching a radiant floor.

Combi only makes sense if you are tight on space or you need a lot of hot water for filling a large tub.
Doesn't sound like that is the case, so I would stick to a stand alone hot water heater.
Boiler guys like to install indirect water heaters but they are expensive and nowhere near as efficient and most think.
Your lowest operating and install cost is a heat pump water heater. Next is a regular power vented gas tank.
Modcon boilers with a standalone gas water heater are pretty much the norm around me.
If you really must have the combi, I would go for the smallest unit they make and install a resistance tank water heater down stream of it. The idea is that as long as the combi can keep up all the hot water will come from the combi, once it starts loosing steam if multiple showers are going, the tank makes up for the difference. Bonus is the resistance tank also acts as a buffer so there are no delays on hot water.

Can they stay in the shower for a long period when it runs? If not it must be steam making the room hot.
Put some food coloring in the steamer😉maybe then they will see the steam.

I'll be dipped. That worthpoint listing led me to a similar worthpoint listing of my exact tool with the same "Boston Mass." casting:

The worthpoint tool listing says it's nickel-plated iron (maybe they were wrong?) but mine is definitely bronze. Otherwise identical.
So it's an antique "bed" wrench that was carried by firemen and used to disassemble and remove beds in burning houses, because the beds were often the most valuable possession. Here's a blog about fireman's bed wrenches:
The wrenches in that collection aren't 3-ended like mine, and appear to be older versions. But I've found listings for several more 3-ended "bed" wrenches like mine that appear to be later variants.
Maybe no longer useful, but makes a cool paper weight!
