Re: The Great Jablonski & Mad Dog 🐕 Collaboration
Hey @Mad Dog_2: Y'know, I always installed the upgraded 200-W series Vitodens boilers because I liked the user interface much more than the 100-W series, but when the latest ones came out, the local rep. called me and said that the 200-W should only be used with hybrid systems that have mixing valves, solar or other accessories that involve advanced logic.
So, I've only been using the 100-W so far.
Maybe @GGross can chime in on what he knows.
BTW, thanks for the photo. I now have you in my database.

Re: The Great Jablonski & Mad Dog 🐕 Collaboration
Is that a Viessmann B1HE? I put one in my basement June 2022 when my Munchkin died and have been very happy with it. I tied it into my 15 year old 50 gallon Viessmann Horicell indirect tucked in my crawlspace.

Dirty . MAD DOG 🐕
Help me identify this boiler!
Hello, all! My name is Ben and I am new here on the forum. I am a young master plumber in New Jersey. I came across this boiler on a no heat call earlier today. So cool to see something like this still in service! I was hoping someone with more experience than myself could help identify it. It’s an American Standard.

Has anyone seen this article yet? (they quote some dude named "Holohan....")

Refinished Radiators
Had to share with the one audience on earth I know would really appreciate it!
I picked up these radiators about four years ago in Asheville, North Carolina. (I live in PA- the drive was worth it!) Piped them into my system two years ago and just this summer sandblasted and refinished them with linseed oil and mica. Just finished the entry tile this weekend (they flank the front door) and put them back in service!

Re: Steam Boiler blows controlers
Hello @james76,
What is going on here ? Where is the probe (and/or the wire that connects to it) for the LWCO (Low Water Cut Off) ???
That LWCO transformer looks like it has been running warmer than I would expect for some time.

Re: Unscrewing pipes…..
Sounds like cracking the fittings is the way to go. Thanks for the on-site. I can get to most of the fitting I have to work with easy enough to where I can slit them first with an angle grinder. Thanks for the info.

Re: Comments on Design of former Gravity Replacement Boiler Near piping
@PeteA - from my limited knowledge, the 007e looks like a good fit.
As I read the pump curve, even when the Caleffi valve is closed, the GPM will be lower than my NRF-22 so that should mean you will not hear the whining noise that I have.
