Re: Dan Holohan Retires After 36 Years of Writing Magazine Columns
You will be greatly missed. I thank you for all your help over the years. Enjoy full retirement I will maybe someday soon join you. I am 84 this past Thursday and still going strong. Thank God for good health and Irish blood.
Re: Minnesota Right to Repair Law
I know in other areas "right to repair" was more about products being able to be repaired (cell phones for example which are sometimes made to not allow repairs). I'm not aware of any place in the US where you aren't legally allowed to fix your own residential appliances etc. When was it ever Wrong to Repair?I read it twice. I still don't understand what it's supposed to do, and what was the problem before the legislation, other than someone saying they couldn't fix ventilators if needed, but don't explain why.
Or, am I not reading this Right?
Maybe it's more of a right to have access to I/O manuals?

Re: Fred Flinstone's Vacuum Steam Experiment
I was able to reach all of the 1 1/4 copper and pitch it properly except for a short piece where it makes a 45 to another 45. That part still pitches slightly the wrong way, but the radiator heats all the way across on every cycle now (even) without the Gorton #2. I should probably leave well enough alone, but am going to change those 2 45's for a long sweep 90 to get plenty of slope all the way. Thanks everybody for your helpful comments.

Re: Seeking Oil Boiler Recommendations
@Roger , we're going with the smallest Ascent model with install by the number one company recommended to us by two of your employees. Brian was quick to call me back and answer my questions. Really impressed with Energy Kinetics from both a business and product standpoint. Looking forward to using less oil this season and saving some money in the long run.

Re: Dear Reader
Congratulations Dan! You deserve to take a break. You've toiled hard and have made a HUGE difference in our World. I personally want to thank you for making me the person that I am. Without you, I would not have had the wonderful career in hydronics that I had.. Thank you, TLM and your family for everything you've done. Unlike us, that knowledge you have imparted to our industry will live on for ever. Your legacy will live on forever... Thank you. Your friend in Colorado.

Re: Help draining a old steel expansion tank.
Take out the bigger plug that the drain screws into. The vent tube should come out with the bigger plug. The vent tube may be sludged up.

Re: Steam heat system fitting
I’ve seen this in an old book. Can’t recall which one. It’s a specialty tee that allows the steam to go to two floors. The object was to lessen the amount of returning condensate in either riser from the tee.
