    Happy Birthday to the man who basically single-handily rescued and saved steam heat through his curiosity, passion and teaching.

    About a month ago my brother (steam guru in his own right) saw Dan's books on my shelf. I told him about how great it was going to his seminar around 10 years ago.
    He told me a story about how something like 30 years ago he was having a steam issue on a job, and talking to a guy from a local supply house who was originally from Brooklyn. He knew steam, and Dan. He told my brother to call Dan as he knows everything about steam. Gave him Dan's home number. My brother had a few conversations on the phone, Dan probably in his kitchen, helping my brother.
    Although steam will be considered his legacy, I'm sure he'd say his greatest legacy is his children and grandchildren.

    He sure is! We joke because growing up he told my sisters and me that each one of us was his favorite. Then we got older and all went out drinking together and the truth came out. We came home and told him he had some explaining to do. ;)

    Happy birthday Mr H , as all have stated , I could never thank you personally enough for the knowledge that you have passed to all especially To those of us who barely passed English class let alone engineers English . You personally have done more to educate installer and techs then any trade school ,manufacture and supply house has in my experience in the art of steam heating and a eye opening game changer to the hydronic industry w pumping away and ps made easy both of which I have given as educational gifts to other mechanics some who took heed and other who still refuse and enjoy bleeding system and having air issues lol.
