Re: Charging What??!!
The answer is simple - Swift has sold her soul to the devil. Now I know what you're thinking - "but Max, Swift has no discernible talent. Her "songs" are garbage and her voice is worse than you will hear at any high school show". I got you on this but here's the explanation:
In the old days, when someone sold their soul to the devil, the devil gave the performer amazing and legendary talent. That was difficult to accomplish but he found out it's a lot easier to fool the masses into thinking this no talent is talented. There's an old expression - "the masses are asses".
There you go. You're welcome and say a prayer for humanity.

Charging What??!!
I watched last weekend as Taylor Swift did two shows at Lumen Field in Seattle and sold out both shows. Each show had over 80,000 attendees. The 2 shows netted over 1.5 billion in gross revenues, including $975 million in merchandise. Tee shirts were $200. and hoodies, $500. I'm not sure why teenage girls have so much angst to spend so much and worship her, but she's approaching the Beatles in record sales. I have one friend, a retired Microsoft engineer who was willing to spend $2000. for a ticket and couldn't get one. Lastly, when she did "Shake it Up", the seismologists at UW recorded a 2.3 on the Richter scale, which beats Marshawn Lynch's Beast Quake touchdown which recorded a 2.1.

Re: Best Spray Paint for Old Radiators.....again
@AdmiralYoda We got one of our rads professionally sandblasted, primed and painted with Rustoleum Stops Rust clean metal primer and semi gloss white enamel respectively. The shop did a great job, looks good….but stank for 3 months. I would absolutely avoid the engine enamel for that reason.
Re: Best Spray Paint for Old Radiators.....again
@Mad Dog_2 If I were to show my wife a paint swatch of that copper/bronze she'd puke just because it isn't a color she'd pick for well...anything. But to be honest it is growing on me. We have a similar green paint in our living room with white trim. I think it contrasts nice.
Rather than just ask her about the color I'll just show her the picture. I'll let you know haha.
**edit
Just asked the wife. Nope. Has to be shiny white.... so shiny white it is.
At this point I'm either leaning Benjamin Moore or the VHT Engine Enamel aerosol.

Re: Can this blower motor be fixed?
I installed the ECM motor and it is working. Ended up with a Mars blower wheel that is identical in specs to the original. Strangely the only place in the country that had a wheel that would fit this, at least as far as I could find with web searches, was my local distributor.

Re: Continued saga of my problematic 18' AC condensate line...
After fighting with a condensate issue for a few months I finally ran mine down the outside of the house.
I didn't cover it with anything because everything I've seen will stand out more than some 3/4" PVC. The PVC can be easily painted as well to blend in.
Do I like having it on the outside of my house, including a 20' horizontal section? Absolutely not.
But I like it a lot more than fighting with sweating, leaking, clogging etc. 9 times out of 10 I'll choose functionality over cosmetics.

Re: DEAD WRONG
Okay. I’ve got one. But this is plumbing related but it’s a question I’ve had for a long time.
Drum traps.
Why a century of drum traps in bathtub drains? For eons in the early plumbing era (and not so early) this was done everywhere. And then this trap’s outlet travelled nearly horizontally (it seems) to the stack. So there is minimal static height and an obstructive trap that on top of it seems to hold an air bubble at its highest point to erase the modest pressure drop across it just to minimize flow. And it’s convenient screw on top fuses in place. Arrrg!
The only reliable way of keeping it flowing okay is to take a nice Epsom salt bath whenever it slows up.
I presume when these became the standard most tubs were not showers as well, so maybe no one noticed.
I question its origins and the wisdom of their use quite often. Practically every morning.
Re: DEAD WRONG
It seems the Dead Men (and many Live Men) very seldom reamed their pipes after cutting.

Why not run it into that rain gutter below the window? That's too easy.
