Very scary. Did i mention I need to replace the radiator in my car because it is leaking between the tank and the core? I'm pretty sure it is because they o-ring has fossilized over the past 22 years.

with the condition of that poor Smith boiler and the amount they run it I doubt it's worth fixing until the boiler fails. Imagine that boiler all the way from Westfield, MA. But your right.
It just proves that California schools are no better than anywhere else. The installers out there can't read either.

Also, no our inspector was trash and found nothing, and no it was not disclosed. Sellers sucked too, and hid lots of things.

Thankyou @Mad Dog_2 for the expertise that actually solved my problem. Turned out doping the crap out of the union mating surfaces and threads and then killing it tight with a wrench when tightening was the only thing that actually worked. I tried everyone else’s methods…. Much appreciated!

@SweatHog for sure! We may all love hydronics here but Americans don't seem nearly as enthusiastic. Gotta stay aware of what customers actually want.Fancy counter tops, stainless appliances, a shiny new SUV and truck in the driveway and the cheapest HVAC system you can hide in the basement and it doesn't matter if it works poorly as long as it works?
