33% is more pickup factor than most systems have. the piping in most systems is more like 10% or less. the edr(ibr net square ft or something like that) number on the boiler ratings plate already has 33% subtracted so the output of the boiler is 33% more than the square foot rating. if your calculations are correct the boiler might be slightly undersized for the connected radiation but it is very close. with 2 pipe steam that really isn't a problem if the system is working properly.

you can get a pressure gauge and adapt it to garden hose thread(or buy one for testing domestic water systems premade) and hook it to one of the drains on the system to measure the actual pressure.

One thing to consider is that all your other radiators may also be oversized. If that is the case, you may want to rethink installing the correct size for that room. It may not give you the balance you think you are going to get by installing the correct size. That smaller radiator may need to operate for a longer cycle in order to get that room comfortable but all the oversized radiators will satisfy their respective rooms long before the proper size radiator gets even close to heating the room that it occupies If it was grossly oversized and caused that room to overheat compared to the rest of the home, then a smaller radiator might be in order, but be careful as not to get a radiator that is too small.
As for acquiring the replacement radiator, you may find that there are better deals available than shortening the one you have. Wagner Salvage Has an eBay store and I have heard good things about them. I don't know how close you are to them but they can ship one radiator. Look at scrap and salvage yards near you for something that will fit your needs. Just make sure you can get full credit if the radiator is a leaker, otherwise don't buy it.

Was it "Kent" cigarettes that had the "Micronite" filter?
I recall cutting the filter apart and there was a small mini filter ahead of the standard filter. It was thought to be the finest imported asbestos available.
BTW, would have been dry.

if it's a 15-year-old relay, equipped with ice cube relays, the relays are replaceable. the current solid-state relays are not. If it's not broken why replace it. you can always replace it if necessary.

Change out the two cross over traps they most likely are failed and if not they look to be a few years old and remove those no 1 Gorton's and install either a pair of no 2 Gorton's or if you feel daring install a hoffmann 67 vapor vacuum vent . As others may have stated check the pigtails on your pressure trolls and do yourself a favor and get a decent 0-3 psia gauge .
i would hope that being a two pipe system that you have ensured that all traps are working properly and that none of them are passing steam into the dry returns . If so replace or repair .As for down firing have some one install a 2 stage gas valve and a vaporstat in conjunction w either the existing pressuretrol or yet another vaporstat

Here's your boiler's EDR output including a 33% pickup factor- so the actual output is 1/3 more.
782 sq ft.
2. How does that compare to your measured radiation- in square feet?
Don't get hung up on heat loss or BTU's . Just Sq. Ft of radiation to Sq. ft. of boiler output 😉
Doesn't look like the pipes are insulated so you can write off the pickup factor (mostly). How well that 782 sq ft. matches your measured radiator EDR is what's important.
At the risk of sounding dumb, sq ft of radiation is the surface area of your rads, not the size of the rooms. (Seems your 200k number / 50 is the size of the house- 4000 sq ft)
