this is desirable if you do not need to maintain boiler temp for your Domestic hot water such as in your case with your separate water heater.
By allowing your boiler to cool off more in between cycles you achieve longer run times during a call for heat which is more efficient than maintaining your boiler temp at say 140°F
Longer run times are better then short run times... (think highway driving vs city driving)
If the tech changed your aqua stat from a cold start to a non cold start then I would call them and ask them to install the correct control.
you will no doubt use some extra fuel by maintaining the boiler temp full time.

it's leaking. determine the location of the leak, if you can replace the well that would be the preferred option, if that is not possible for whatever reason you would need to replace the tank. if you are the original owner you likely have a lifetime warranty so contacting tech support and explaining what is going on, they may have a better recommendation. triangle tube customer service may know a local dealer that can replace the well. Either way expect to pay for hired labor, and see with triangle tube what your warranty status is, check with whatever vendor you buy from that they are able to process the warranty with you so can be credited for parts if under warranty

@AdmiralYoda Yeah completely agree. Annoying that it doesn’t “just work” but it would be REALLY annoying to disconnect, return, and roll the dice on another one.
It’s a nice looking radiator too, the matte black rustoleum bbq spray finish turned out pretty good.

Steam can't move through a system that has air in it. The quicker you vent the air, the quicker the steam can move through the system.
The general rule is, Vent the Mains fast and the rads slow.

You burn fuel the push the air out of the system. Steam may fill the main pipes faster, less burn time, less fuel. May help with balancing the mains too, for more even heating.

All this talk about the electric service is moot. The electric company fixed the problem and now we are just waiting on the warranty replacement parts. Other neighbors on the same underground service past my son's home also experienced electrical problems and their light dimming problems have also stopped. Many problems solved. Still getting error 04. Now we will see if the replacement board will correct that problem.
I'm just giving all here an update now that I believe that the issue will be corrected as soon as the PCB in replaced. I believe that some hard to solve problems here never reach a conclusion because once it is fixed, there is no need to post anything here and we all would like to know what happened. Did the problem get fixed? Did the the equipment get replaced? Did the wrong steam piping get repiped correctly? Did the house blow up? Did the OP die in the explosion? Just wanted everyone to know that I'm still alive!🤣
