Re: Steam replacment coming up
Nice neat and clean work. Is there reason why you went with gate valves verses ball valves?

Re: Milwaukee Area Single-pipe steam professionals reccomendations?
Yes, I am one of the "Few Good Men", not so sure about you though. I don't believe in ridicule, stating ones opinion is fine if it is done tactfully and with good intentions, however berating people you do not even know, people that have come here for help, is not. Do you just come here to try and show that you are the smartest kid on the block? If you already know everything why not just start your own website and leave us alone?

Re: Milwaukee Area Single-pipe steam professionals reccomendations?
Hat, I realize that you don't care, but that is a rather insulting remark as this site is for helping and not ridiculing people.
Also realize that the introduction of the drop header puts you way ahead of 98% of all people doing steam, including most on this site.

Re: Longer life reccomendations for single-pipe steam boilers
It looks like the EG-75 would be the choice I made. At 770 sq. ft of steam, it's right at your total radiator EDR of 780 and certainly the 10 sq. ft. variance (between the EG-75 rating and your total EDR) is not an issue with the built in pickup/piping factor that's already built into the boiler.

Re: Happened more than once.
Steam is so much easier when you know how to use it.

Boiler for small camp w/radiant
I have a well insulated 24x26 1.5 story camp on 5" slab with 2x300' 1/2" pex radiant installed above 4" XPS insulation. 3/4 bath with LP gas in northern Vermont. Any opinions on installing a Rinnai E50c boiler with 13600 - 50000 btu/hr? Short cycle? Any general problems with small condensing boilers?

Re: Navien ch-240. Too much pressure.
bwd, you said your unit was installed by a license plumber, plumbers are not technicians. one of the only things plumbers are qualified for is venting of waist pipe. in reality accept for the back flow, which now I can do with my hvac license a master plumber is not a license boiler installer
