    Looks like gravity hot water.

    I would love to see some of the radiators that are there.

    Looks like a gas system. Would be a great fit for a Mod Con gas boiler.

    it might work if you can encapsulate enough asbestos to fill it and clean up and light the conversion burner. i guess that is kind of a big cost to find out if the boiler is leaking or not. then you need to inspect especially the chimney to see if it is safe.

    It is gravity HW. Strap on aquastat, Altitude/pressure gauge

    I've done similar replacements, twinned 2 navien fire tube boilers in my house. two pumps with check valves so I could zone it north, south.

    twenty years ago I would of thought about adding modcon boilers and keeping old boiler and building fire box and converting to wood fired.

    More worried about radiators.
