There's a half-dozen of these on the various units. I don't understand why they didn't slap also in a heater to evaporate the water out so they didn't have to empty them. Here's my favorite one:

Being an electrician, I take offence!!! LOL.
I have seen plenty of electrical hack work, but I am not sure an electrician would be dumb enough to do this. I hope not.
Especially the first picture with it mounted over the electrical switches.
Not only did they have to seal the KOs but how about all the holes in the bottom of the box?
And then he chewed one of the cover screws and the ear off the box to have enough room for the float switch.
he could have at least used a 4 11/16 box instead of the 4" to give himself more room.
