I use a label machine but that works!

I do the same thing on oil burners- I list the nozzle type and capacity, the pump pressure and anything else like using a larger static plate (which we do on quite a few retrofitted Becketts to get a better air pattern and better efficiency on a hollow nozzle), using an old-school Dymo labelmaker.

Documentation is as was said O the mark of a professional. Back in the day I did a lot of High end radiant multipal water temps, injection mixing based on outdoor reset ti was state of the art for the day. I always left a clip board on the radiant panel with all the water temps loop lengths,I & O manuals for controls etc. One homeowner called me 17 years later in the dead of a NH winter because he couldn't heat parts of his house comfortably.I went over and took a look. The homeowner upon questioning said his oil burner technition said the water temperatures were wrong so he reset them. I retrieved my clipboard.looked up the temps and reseet the injection mixing controls and in 15 minutes all was fine. My $2 clipboard saved a lot of hassle.
