    Creative Collegues

This wine and rack was one of the many great gifts the folks back at the shop brought along to last nights get together...the front of the card read...

"Generosity is not so much the giving of things as it is the giving of one's self."

It speaks of and about everyone I worked with at Danfoss and the hand written heart felt notes (which brought a tear to my eyes) could have been about anyone on the team.

Most of the characters in Calgary were hand picked because of their character - first and foremost…it took 10 years to build the core group and in many cases we had to wait several years so an individual could make the transition onto our bus. These humble folks run the gamut from recipients of Red Cross Awards to Presidents of local ASHRAE Chapters…one of the senior guys took a new recruit and introduced him to his personal bank manager to help the fatherless young man learn the ropes in establishing a good credit rating…another help create and manage an educational trust fund in honor of a bright young engineer who passed away unexpectedly… others volunteer their time teaching and mentoring and giving back to their communities - like so many more in our industry (lots who visit the Wall) they give of themselves – and this makes them different from all the rest and it’s why we hired them.

Make a list of the top ten companies in our world of HVAC and I’ll bet every one of them have a culture of people who give of themselves. Maybe it’s not the entire company which is outstanding – maybe it’s a branch office – but where there is great service, enthusiasm, passion, persistence, tenacity and creativity there is great leadership and dedicated volunteers.

So my friends at the round table (where there is no head and there is no tail) all else being equal - being able to share laughter and cheer with such an outstanding collection of souls will always be the greatest gift of all.

Thanks for the smiles – and here’s one last cheer for lifelong friendships.

    Where do those

unusual bulbous 3/4 x 3/4 x 1" vertical tees come from. I've never seen them before.

What perfect craftsmanship, I'm definitely going to attempt one of those.

It's nice to know you're nice to know, eh Robert.

Denver in September, Hmmmmm, that would be a nice Autumn drive from South Louisiana.
