Plastic Gas Line Question

Looking to install a plastic gas line from the house out to a generator shed. I have trenched and buried gas lines before but this one would come up through a concrete pad.

I believe there is a riser for this type of installation. What is it called?

Thanks!

    A riser. It’s called a riser.

Yp, but is there a certain kind of riser that is for being encased in concrete?

If it is an exterior slab, just a piece of pvc pipe will work. Inside it needs to be a sealed sleeve and vented

Check the code for your area, should be a section on gas piping, and underground.

FYI. Be careful..doing any work on Natural Gas or LP is strictly regulated. This is not a DIY project. Mad Dog

The part about sealing and venting the sleeve I think only applies to the building not the generator slab. At the house come through the sill. The place you buy the plastic pipe will have the risers.

Some refer to them as "Meter risers"

In most areas in the land of the free you're allowed to do this your self with proper permits.

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.
