Good morning. I’m in the process of installing a WM EG 50 with a 3 inch riser and 1 1/2 equalizer. My header is level and I’m having a hard time getting a pitch toward the equalizer. This wasn’t stated as necessary in the manual but I have read some people advocate for a pitch. Is it safe to say that I should not concern myself with this?

There are two options. One is that you can make a drop header. That would give you a lot more space between the header and the mains, and more leeway with pitch and things like that. Or you can just leave it the way it is. I personally prefer a bit of pitch, but there are a million and one level headers out there, that work just fine. Keep your water clean and you should be okay.

    Why only 1 riser?

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

A Level header is fine. Don't waste $$$ changing it if it is the right size. We have seen header pitched the wrong way work fine although I would not like that.

A drop header is not needed if you follow the MFG piping diagram

Level is fine. Just make sure the size reduction to the equalizer is in the vertical line.
