I have 1- 48" Rigid Pipe wrench and 1- 36" Rigid Pipe wrench for sale both are steel ( or ductile iron?) and definitely used but still very useable. In addition I have a Rigid four wheel cutter for 21/2"-4" pipe,(#44-S). and I have a Rigid tube cutter for up to 3" copper both like new. I also have a McDonnell Miller # 67 LWCO, new in the box as well as gas control valves (24 volt, maybe one MV) and misc. steam and hot water heat parts. I am in S.E. Michigan , north of Detroit.

New to this forum. Did they actually have 5, 6, 7, 8 foot pipe wrenches? I have a big old mansion house with a steam tunnel and BIG pipe screwed together. I always marveled at it.What manner of men and wrenches screwed it tight? But I think it needs to go away now. Not used in 40 years. I fear 100 year old trapezes when I get under them.retiredguy said:What, no 96", 84", or 60" Ridgid pipe wrenches for sale. 48" and 36" are only middle sizes.

4' is the largest I have seen except for the chain wrenches which have more capacity and are lighter0

I used ridgid 60" and 72" pipe wrenches in my younger days and as far as a 96" (8 foot) I only saw one in a piping supply house in Pittsburgh, Pa. Now that was a big pipe wrench. That wrench was slated to be picked up by one of the railroad companies for use in their repair shop.
Many years ago, I was in a high school in Erie, Pa. and a lot of the boiler room steam lines were 12" screwed pipe and valves. It was a sight to behold. I should have taken some photos.0
