Nope. I've offered to have a look but the super isn't convinced I know anything about these things. Last week my apartment was 64° for two straight days when it was in the high 20s° outside. I asked if I could have a look at the boiler control and he said "It's called a 'heat clock' and no one's allowed to touch it."
And that was that.

So, yeah. No.

Wow @JohnNY - that Super is not very smart. Does he know that you are a Master in the field? I'd love for you to be a tenant in one of my rentals. My problems would be over........

I wound up being the plumbing and heating super in all of the 4 buildings I've lived in in NYC. I turned 51 this year and I'm done with all that.
