I know they come highly recommended here and, feeling ashamed I can't remember his name or Handle but he is a major contributor here and receives many accolades.
Expensive?
That's open to interpretation. (No pricing is discussed here)
Without knowing him personally, I think it's fair to say he wont cut any corners, sacrificing workmanship, materials or labor in exchange to doing the job right.
Of course everyone has their budget, but expensive can be priceless in terms of many years of trouble free comfort, or expensive in terms your mental health dealing with the problems of an inferior installation.
I'm not saying they WILL be the most expensive quote because I have no idea, but I will say your system will be sized, installed and serviced correctly.
The only gripe I have personally about @New England SteamWorks is, why would any well respected heating contractor want to settle in the same city as the Patricia's.3 -
You find any better.
Let me also add that there are very few steam pro's around anymore: it's a lost art. Just hiring anyone because they say that they can do the job is a serious mistake that's not only gonna cost you $$, but also a ton of grief.Bob Boan
You can choose to do what you want, but you cannot choose the consequences.1 -
Ryan is one of the very best in the business -- certainly in our area.
And @HVACNUT -- it's the Patriarcas, and they are a very nice family. They just don't do things quite the same way some other folks do...Br. Jamie, osb

Do a search for his postings here, and you will see his descriptions of his installations.
What is wrong with your present system exactly?
As far as cost goes, you get what you pay for with these installations, and a cheaper installation may be done by someone willing to cut corners, because he doesn’t have to live with the job after he cashes the check, and walks out the door.
A badly installed boiler may be noisy, short lived, and inefficient. Remember you are buying many years of comfort and reliability with this project.
Generally people are only posting complaints about contractors on the internet, and if there are no complaints, then no postings.—NBC0 -

If anyone has ever seen Stephen's work you would realize what high praise this really is!3 -
This post is about the sort of installation that you will avoid by getting a real expert in to do the work, (and many other descriptions here).

He is probably in high demand at this time of the year. Are you without heat now?—NBC0 -

I'm going on record to say I would never disrespect such a fine family and a pillar to the community... especially on this day, the day of your dawtas wedding.0 -
There is a very good reason you were recommended to call @New England SteamWorks . Have a gander through his work on this forum, the craftsmanship is evident in everything he does.
I don't think I've ever heard, or seen, anything he does that isn't first rate.Peter Owens
