Hi Dave, can you assist with the various diagrams on Pg. 17 in the Weil McClain manual? Fig 18 and 19 show 3 different types of piping diagrams and I'm wondering which you feel is correct based on my pics I sent. The talk about parallel and counterflow systems...damed if I know which I have. My home is a just a seven room colonial, approx 1400 sq. ft, and I'm told its a one pipe steam system. Also, wondering how you go from the simple piping diagrams in the manual on page 17, to what you shared in your same boiler diagrams....looks quite different. Thanks again.
Dave, thanks for these pics of the drop header. I am still concerned about the "new steam" guy I have called and this is exactly what I was hoping to show him. We did both go over the manual diagrams but I want to be sure this gets resolved correctly as stated in the forum comments. In general its looks like I need a header (or drop header) to slow the steam down, and equalizer loop, an a skim valve to get this right. Question is the equalizer loop the same as the Hartford Loop or do I need the HL as well? Thanks again for your help.
