You seem to have ruled out almost everything but here's a long shot, but worth checking. On the top left outside of my fridge there is a small vented cover. Underneath the cover is where the ice tray water is fed from the solenoid into the ice tray. If your model is similar it is a least worth inspecting for leaks or misalignment of water flow to the tray. The plastic pipes do sometimes freeze which can cause unexpected issues.

Typical cheap (not money wise) but quality wise appliances. They are becoming throw away appliances like window units.

My cousin bought all new appliances 2 years ago and my nephew got his old ones to use at a summer camp.

25-year-old Kitchen Aid refrigerator that seems decently build quit after a year freezer running +15 and refrigerator running+50. After troubleshooting as much as I could I replaced the defrost timer and thermostat and all is good. Unfortunately the quality is going down. I put in a new Kitchen aid dishwasher last year. so far so good. But except for the SS liner the whole thing is plastic you could pick it up with one hand.

My brother replaced all his appliances 10 years ago when his kitchen was remodeled. All Maytag.

Stove, microwave, refrigerator and dish washer. DW failed completely and part not available, had problems with stove, microwave. Refrigerator is the only one with no issue so far.

Miele is what people seem to suggest for a dishwasher that is decently built. I think whirlpool's top end dishwashers are still good but hey might be more flexible with what they'll slap a kitchenaid label on now. we had a whirlpool dishwasher when i was a kid that was terrible but it was the near bottom of the line because it was a portable and they have to pay for the wheels and hose and cord somehow. It replaced a ge mobile maid that was great. should have just fixed the lid switch on the ge. i have a bosch that is about 27 years old now that works great again after i bent the bottom rack up so it wasn't binding the spray arm
