Good old boy efficiency (burner limits)
Maintained by his uncle. He called to schedule a cleaning because his domestic hot water temperature wasn't warm enough. It did have a brand new smoke pipe though, he said it's the third one that his uncle has installed since he's been in the house.

I think it is a Honeywell triple acting aquastat on a Burnham oil boiler with tankless coil.

It is obvious that @Robert_H is asking for the proper way to fix this insufficient hot water problem.
Duct Tape and a Sharpie would be my suggestion.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Actually, I set the High and low limit and marked it all out with a sharpie. but I like the duck tape option.

I can imagine the condition of the chimney for that boiler. I doubt there's much left of the terra cotta if it's a masonry chimney.
