New install questions
I am replacing an old gas boiler. I had a few quotes and the final quote offered me two options. A Williamson or a Weil MacLain.
I have attached images of the specs on both from the quote as well as the existing spec on the old boiler. ( the plate on the boiler) My questions are the new boilers adequate for sizing or oversized . I have 12 old cast iron finned radiators .most are 3 ft with one 6 ft. Which would you recommend the Williamson or Weil? The old system was gravity and the new will have a circulator pump. Sorry about the images not formatting in a row. Rearly is an old boiler sized properly.
get a manual “J” load loss calculation done.125,000 is a big boiler.

No they did not. I will ask them about an analysis

how much gas did you use the previous year?

Old boiler size is irrelevant. Unless it was installed by Dan Holohan and no changes where made to house since the original installation.
