Honeywell t-stat died

Hi all.  It’s been a while since I’ve been here.  My Honeywell TH8110U1003 is no longer showing anything on the readout (I did try changing the batteries).  The display was getting finicky the past couple of years, so I am not surprised that it died.

Is there anything new out there for steam that works well, or should I just get another one of these?  Thanks for any advice!

I recently installed a Honeywell TH8320R1003 VisionPro 8000 for my parents.

That one, or similar will do fine with steam.

Hi Nick - found the button battery inside, replaced it, no such luck. Thanks for the idea, though!

Ya know, I thought you might be joking around a bit, but this seems to be a fine idea. https://inspectapedia.com/heat/Heat-Anticipator-Ohms-Law.php

It is a fine idea, @Patrick McGrath . And it's been around a long long time. Just about idiot proof, and it does a fine job of producing little or no overshoot or undershoot in the space temperature.

That t-stat truly passed the test of time.
Unfortunately no longer made. I have seen them at yard sales.

And I wasn’t kidding. Best stat ever.

You already know the answer to that.
