Water softener flooded

So...

If a water softener was in a flood but electrically still works... Is it safe to clean out and load new salt in and fire it up good to go?

Or would it be contaminated on the potable side?
Single pipe quasi-vapor system. Typical operating pressure 0.14 - 0.43 oz. EcoSteam ES-20 Advanced Control for Residential Steam boilers. Rectorseal Steamaster water treatment

It's not a matter of contamination. No appliance which has been flooded should be used again.

No, it wouldn't be contaminated inside. There is no potable side as such. Those things are really just a big tank with salt and, in the fancier ones an electrical valve to control the backwash.

If the electrics didn't go underwater, @ChrisJ , you should be able to use it.
