What happens when you replace a trap set at 15 with one set at 125. Will it still work, if not how would you know the 15 trap is the right one?

    If by some chance you a talking about replacing a 15lb pressure relief valve with a 125lb pressure relief valve on a steam boiler, NO----DO NOT DO THAT!! That is a safety device and needs to be replaced with the same

    @Redyed , what is this trap connected to?

    In general, a trap rated for higher pressure has a smaller valve orifice, so it won't do a good job of passing condensate or air at lower pressures.

    Two traps the same pipe size 1 rated at 15 the other rated at 125 the 125 will have a smaller orifice. It will "work" but may not have the capacity you need
