Mounting Charleston Rads Vertically

On the streamradiators.com gallery they have a photo of what appears to be a one-pipe Charleston radiator mounted vertically. (2nd row down.) Will this actually work with these?

    Sure. So long as it slightly pitched down to the right, each element can drain as it needs to, and that's the critical thing.

    I would be concerned that they appear to have much less thermal mass than the originals they have replaced.
    In a hot water system, they would be fine, but for steam, maybe not.--NBC

    I have one. As expected it cools off quicker than a cast iron rad with the same BTU rating. But in removing the old in-wall radiator I was able to considerably improve the room's insulation so it's a wash heat wise. I like the look of the Charleston and the fact it leave the floor open.

    To @ethicalpaul point, yeah, in the gallery photo the Charleston they show is probably 1/10 the output of the original. Definitely a deceptive picture if people are to assume the two are equal.
