Steamer Repipe

We repiped this Utica steamer with a drop header and our standard water seal for the pressuretrol and gauges.Upgraded the main venting and installed a analog meter with resettable counter.
Just need to go back to skim and wand the boiler some more and install a Demineralize inline filter.
Also replaced the water heater with a Caleffi Tankmixer and ThermalExpansion Tank with support bracket.
Thanks to @clammy for helping us out on this one too.

When I was in the NAVY we would have polished those copper pipes so well that you could have used them to shave in the morning. That said, what a great looking job and quite an iimprovement.1

As always Ezzy it’s always a pleasure working with someone who knows and always does the right thing instead of doin the wrong and calling it good enough . When u have been doing this as long as I have it’s awesome to see some one younger Carrying on a tradition of quality and craftsmanship that is not seen in most homes mechanical rooms that I see it’s really extremely nice to known there’s still guys out there who personally do the work themselves instead of sending workers to do the dirty work . @question the copper piping on the boiler is the old piping. We repiped it with steel and cast fittings.1

Why doesn't the boiler have pigtails on the gauges and pressuretrol?

No offense to the pig but any tail will do🙃. The pigtail is just a water seal(think P trap under the sink). The current piping is another way of creating a water seal.1
