"Stagnant plumbing systems in emptied commercial buildings could put returning employees at risk of Legionnaires’ and other illnesses." I wasn't aware that the virus can be spread by a flushing toilet--shower spray, yes. I'd like to hear the Wallies' take on this.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

I would imagine that you can spread the bacteria if you flush the toilet with the lid up as it will aerosolize the water droplets. I don't know how likely it would happen that someone would become ill from it but it is possible
You can have it good, fast or cheap. Pick two

Closed buildings DO Have issues. HVAC has been shut down, no outside air, no dehumidification. Mold has been growing. Like anything else a complete clean up is needed, Systems run for several days. Air monitoring the entire time. This is going to be one of the costs of this Shut Down!
