Please join us in welcoming @Andrew to the Heating Help team. Andrew's background includes over a decade of working for the Discovery Channel and a dozen years of being married to me. We are thrilled to follow in the footsteps of my parents of running Heating Help as a family business.

Do I see some HH documentaries (or reality shows) in the future?
Welcome to the madness, I mean fun!
Let's get that post count up (maybe Erin can spot you a 100).
Erin, are you bringing him to Hershey in 2 weeks?

    Haha! We'll see.

Andrew can't make it to Hershey, but he will be at Wetstock.

I have a couple difficult questions:
    1. Will Erin refer to Andrew as the "TLA" similar to the infamous TLM?
    2. Will Andrew be introducing a new series called "Dirtiest Boilers" or will be it "Dirtiest Wet Returns?" I can picture Team Heating Help at the podium at the Emmy Awards in the future.

On a serious note, congratulations to Andrew in joining Team Heating Help!

Thanks to all. We're having fun...or at least I am because he's taking a lot of work off my plate. ;)

And @ScottSecor - We're working on the nickname and maybe even the show too. Stay tuned.

Thanks all for the warm welcomes! :)

I agree that I'll need a nickname... perhaps we'll create a poll for it. What could possibly go wrong . . .

TLM was The Lovely Marianne long before this site got started- so the name doesn't depend on who's running the site. I'm sure @Andrew will carry on the tradition- TLE, correct? B)

And the tradition is no longer restricted to the Holohan family- any time one of the guys mentions "The Lovely ______", we know he's talking about his wife. For example, I showed up at Wetstock 2004 with a certain girl and introduced her as The Lovely Naoko- we had been married all of two weeks at that point.

Maybe we can get him some field experience turning wrenches with some of the guys on here? That, and his present skills would make him very handy.

Then, we could call him Handy Andy.

LOL!! Nice one, Bob! I'll welcome any sort of field experience and any basic tips for those new to the industry. I have a lot of books still to read, that's for sure. :)

Hello, I think two of the most basic skills required in this field involve a knowledge of sociology and troubleshooting. Dan, being a keen observer, can (at least) help with the first one and the rest of us can help with the second. I'd be happy to send you an article I wrote on troubleshooting long ago. B)

    Yours, Larry

Thanks, Larry. I'd love to read your article. Feel free to PM me the link.

Dan certainly has a true talent for meaningful observation and understanding people. :) No doubt I'll always be learning from him.

    Welcome!

We will need to start you off with scorched air.....oil scorched air to be exact. We will then move onto PVC venting, then to water.

    I want a reality show with y'all!

@Solid_Fuel_Man , What are you trying to do, send the man to an early grave? He can wash the dirt off of his hands and chothing from a Steam or HW installation. He can't get the dust out of his lungs from the scorched air!
