Water empty system.

I have a one pipe steam system, and recently my system will not stop emptying itself of water through the over flow line underneath the back flow preventer. Once I manually refill the tank with water it will start to empty all the water out. any suggestions as to why?

    Post a few pics, standing far enough back to see more than just a little bit of pipe.

    Most likely the backflow preventer is shot -- but I'd have to see pictures of the install to say for sure.

    How did you make out with your BFP feeding your boiler? Let me know what type of BFP it is and I can probably help.
