On a Taco 404-4-Exp zone valve control box, can I wire the 120v fan from my air/water HX to the 120v pump end switch on the left. If so, can someone show me a rough schematic. I want the fan on the HX to come on when the zone calls for heat. I use a single Alpha2 ,

The fan spects:

Axial fan Motor
YWF4E-250B-2T
120v 60Hz 0.58A 70w 1580 r/min
120v 60Hz 0.32A 40W 1310 r/min
7uf/450V CLF

A blower would draw more amperage than the control allows for those contacts. You'd need to use an isolation relay.

You might consider controlling the fan with an aquastat mounted on the pipe at the heater. That way the fan won't blow cold air waiting for the boiler to heat up.

    Nah, nothing that expensive.

    This is what you need:

If the amp draw is less than 2 amps, you don't need the relay.

So according to the sticker on the fan, it's OK?

Only .58 RLA on a 1580 RPM blower motor?

Hot Rod, am I correct in assuming when wiring a Caleffi four wire Z-one zone valve to this control box it's 1Bk, 2Bk, 3R, 4R with no + or - using an Alpha2 pump?
