Not EVEN a RayPak boiler... I've seen RayPaks make steam, and it will make your sphincter do the momba, and make your feet want to run away from your body. I believe the industry term is "Low mass dance"... Scary stuff...

It's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.

And the steam will be, as the engineer wrote, very wet. Thank you very much!

I think I remember RayPak offering a steamer. I presumed it was their customary forced circulation heater with some sort of steam drum?

At least they have the boiler manuals.

Too bad they can't read them and determine that it's a hot water boiler.

Just like all the steam boiler problems we have on THE WALL with improper near boiler piping.

Reading is apparently becoming a problem

"An engineer"? Maybe in sanitation, because it's getting pretty deep around him.

I still thing that centrifugal steam fan on the back of the boiler is worth at least 5,000 bucks. Those steam fans really help with moving that very wet steam.

Dan quoted from a book he had read during one of his annual marathons of literature about "huge pumps laboring to push steam thru a heating system"..........so there is a place for it. ;)
