    Leaking furnace

    Any thoughts on troubleshooting my furnace with this recent condensation leak before I call an hvac guy

      Clogged or slightly obstructed drain?...improper drain setup...cracked heat exchanger anyone of these

      Do I need to gain access from other side of furnace to look if it's exchanger or drain. It's dripping from beneath that black panel/ housing

      How can you visibly tell if an heat exchanger is cracked. Don't need to be charged for something I may not need but a service guy may tell me I need?

      Have to admit that I can't tell much from that picture. Not even if this is hot air or hot water or steam... or if it's a condensing furnace or boiler or not.

      Which leaves the possible source of that leak very much up in the air.

      Can you provide more information?

      Was there a hose or plug on this nipple that's now missing?

      Yes I removed it. Thought maybe it was blocked there. It leaking from below that area, the corner of the black where the housing and the gray . Is there a way to check if it's blocked in that drain area causing it to leak from below it

      Even if it were blocked, it shouldn't leak around the collector cover.

      Can that collector cover be removed without affecting rest of furnace. Should I turn off furnace 1st

      if it's GFA, do you have a humidifier installed?

      I'd recommend that you call a pro.

      There are gaskets behind that cover. This could be an indication of a number of issues and probably best checked by a pro
