Yes that heat shield is from the old boiler. The customer is going to do a new one that goes 3/4 of the way across the door. I like the propress zone valves and when you get the 5 year warranty when using the zone control its a no brainer.

Very nice indeed. I love how nothing is directly above the burner. Like many of us....if I had a dollar for every time I stood up from a kneeling position at the burner and cracked my head...sometimes more than once on the same call...

What's the actual name of the thermal switch mounted above the boiler?
I wouldn't mind adding that to my system even though it's not required here.Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.
