Old R22 General Electric Heat Pump Indoor Unit

Hey, everyone, I'm having a hard time finding any info on this GE indoor unit. I wasnt able to get access to the customer's rooftop today, so this is all I'm working with so far. I'm trying to match this up with an old manual and submittal sheet. Any help would be appreciated!

what are you trying to Match Up?
that system is 40+ years old. Everything’s changed!

Yeah, that unit is long gone. Any information you can find is probably useless.

I'm not trying to find another one of those exact models, I want to be able to spec it so I can get a replacement in there.

I'm in sales, so generally, my first step is getting tag info and finding the best replacement as long as the conditioned area has not expanded or decreased. The customer was happy with the output of this unit, but like you said, it's 40 years old and not worth repairing anymore.

Mr. Salesman Please stop replacing like for like. How do you know it was sized properly the 1st time. You dont. 1-Ton was 12,000 BTU/h back then, today it might be 3,000 latent 9,000 sensible.

1st ting to do is A heat load loss must be done AKA Manual "J".

I think what everyone is trying to say is, It's best to do a heat load Or loss depending on the equipment being replaced. We've all seen far too many times like for like replacements where the home owner lands here looking for advice on an under performing and expensive "up grade". Sales and installation teams often are not aware of building envelope improvements or additions or in fact any subtle changes to the spaces and unless a pretty thorough survey is done there's often trouble.
