Hurricane Relief
My daughter (Melissa) is a pilot and her aviation group is flying supplies into the affected areas where people have been devastated by this disaster.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here’s a link to donate:

I hope she and her comrades know how much we appreciate what they're doing!
As an FYI, neither the PayPal nor the Venmo links work. It says the merchant account is restricted.

The donor website is limiting donations at this moment due to the overwhelming response.
My daughter and others are in the air right now talking supplies down.

On behalf of all North Carolinians, we appreciate your daughter's work, as well as, all donations from everyone. The footage coming out of the mountains is surreal and heartbreaking.
Asheville and Boone are the big towns but if you zoom in on a map of Western NC, thousands of tiny, unincorporated communities pop up and they never had paved roads. Look closer, and you'll see many creeks. The creeks became rivers, rivers became lakes and lakes became oceans; many of those communities are buried.
So thanks everyone who can contribute something.1 -
Still not able to donate, unfortunately. I have done this many times before and have never seen the financial donations limited long before the goal has been met. Physically delivering items would be ideal, but I simply cannot pull out and do it just yet. I gathered a large quantity of bottled water, toiletries, and clothing yesterday and will run another drive on Sunday, with the intent to drive down to the Asheville area (from MN) on Friday the 11th pulling my fully loaded gooseneck trailer. Hopefully our hands can be utilized as well, to help get these folks back on their feet

Try the NC disaster relief fund. The United Way is the fiscal agent and distributes money to volunteer groups. There is more on how money is spent on website.
@GroundUp you are awesome! but I think it wont be easy pulling a trailer. you might need to look for alternate routes or find a nearby drop off point.

Here’s an update:
My daughter and other aviators are continuing to make flights into the affected areas even as I write this.
Myself and some men from our church took down two trailer loads yesterday. The need is far greater than what you may be seeing on TV or the internet. We met a young lady at the church where we delivered the supplies who had lost 20 of her immediate relatives. Tragic.
Regarding the inoperative links that are posted above: my daughter said that donorbox shut it down because they were getting too many donations and they suspected fraud! Can you imagine that? Blueridge Aviation is a legitimate organization and there pictures and videos of what they’re doing all over FB. Our local sheriff and his deputies have been collecting goods and bringing them thereto be flown in by them! But donorbox suspects fraud?
My daughter said they are gonna try and get another means of donating online setup asap.
Thank you for all who are praying, caring and trying to help! It’s making a difference.
Our church is also taking donations if you’d like to help that way.
You can send a cheque to:
Faith Baptist Church
620 Essex Drive
Staunton, VA 24401
Mark it for “Relief Fund”. I can assure you that every penny will go towards that.
Thanks again.
