As the title says. Got a few more things to finish up. Weil-McLain EG55 replaced a Utica PEG-C-9 299,000 BTU. Waay oversized. This system is the two pipe I was asking questions about in another thread.

Hey Clammy, you might have missed the news, but I believe WM reverted back to supplying both tappings

Yes this is true, however the process wasn’t to begin until now February. Getting these boilers with two tappings is getting scarce, however have a close relationship with the plumbing supply house owner helps as he is able to locate the double tapped blocks for me. This was a complete knockdown but beggars can’t be choosers.

Gotta love ur attention to details that count like no plugs on unused return tapping ,isolation on the buried returns . Couple of my pet peeves is only ball valves those 1/4 are great on hot water but for steam I stick to bv and hose adpts . Another is after your backflow and before your feed I like to put a hose bib it’s easy access for water to power flush returns or wand out the boiler if need be but that’s me . You got some great work skills and I guarantee if I pass ur work in my travels I will surely know that it’s u or possible ezzy peace and good luck clammy

On my own job I use peerless so that tapping bull doesn’t apply but I install whatever they want mostly depending on who I,m spinning a wrench for but depending on edr and size it does vary once in a blue moon from peerless maybe Weil possible Utica all get oversized headers and usually I never have issues clammy
