Carbon Monoxide monitor in boiler room or just outside? Bedroom overhead boiler room.

I was wondering what is recommended.
We have a single pipe steam heat system with gas boiler and two gas water heaters in a boiler room which happens to be located directly underneath our baby's bedroom.
I don't know how risky this situation even is, but my mind started wandering...
What sort of safety would be recommended?
We obviously will have a carbon monitor in his room, but what else?
Carbon monoxide monitor INSIDE the boiler room? Just outside the room?
Any ideas are welcome, thank you!

CO monitor in the boiler room, with a loud enough alarm to wake you up wherever in the house you might be. Should be there anyway, baby or no.

Search for Low Level CO Monators for the baby’s room.

Standard Monators alarm at too high a level 70 PPM For 1Hr.
Low Level alarm at 5 PPM

    i do both.

co/ methane detector in basement, co / smoke detectors in bedrooms.
But just as important: regular maintenance, inspection and combustion analysis.

smoke/fire alarms should be their too. You can get combination Co & smoke or use separate Co & smoke
