Large oversize replacement

Old boiler was a Burnham IN9 installed in 2009, that rotted above the water line. EDR was 420. So we went with a Peerless 63-04L. Almost done....

Thanks as always @EzzyT and it was a bit of a learning curve since I installed exclusively Weil-McLain boilers for over 10 years, however through the whole process I weighed pros and cons and I must say I like the Peerless. I like the use of K-wool sealing instead of retort cement, less screws, and most of all that block is heavy cast iron.

Yes, the Kaowool is alot better. With furnace cement you can figure maybe one season before it will start leaking. Probably cheaper to supply, lower quality and more time for installation. Really heavy blocks.

I wish the tappings for the water seal was in a different spot, they make it awkward especially if you need to use a secondary pressuretrol: manual reser
