what do you pros figure for labor to remove old 80 percent natural draft boiler install new condensing boiler with 5 zones of heat 1 for indirect primary secondary loop all circs repipe returns because they are under sized install venting and combustion air upgrade wiring and replace copper gas line with steel

no just seeing what other contractors would figure i would figure around 30 man hours but I am not young anymore

Actually, that is a great way to bypass the "no pricing" ban here on The Wall.

My wife and I just finished a similar project that took us about 40 hours. But those weren't "man" hours; they were man/woman hours.

Depends entirely on the setup. Black? Sweat? Press? ZV or circs? A new install of a wall hung mod/con with 2 circs and 4 zone valves like I envision yours to be, maybe 10-15 hours on hammer time or 30-40 on actual time? I'd bid it for 40 personally but expect it to take 20 if all goes well

Thanks for the feed back I was not trying to bypass no pricing gave a price on a replacement they thought it should be around the cost of the materials with no markup I was just trying to get a idea on the labor I would do a combination of black pipe and pro press but have to redo gas piping because its 1/2 copper feeding everything at low pressure have to start over with near boiler piping because its a hack job switching from zone valves to circs also have to move domectic water piping to be able to hang the boiler on the wall

They were right . It should be around the cost of materials . Ask if you can watch while they install the stuff
