I saw a great program tonight on ABC that said if I lower my heat 1 degree, I will save 5% on my heating bills.
I did one better and lowered it 20 degrees. Looks like I will be heating for free this winter. :D

    Where do they get those numbers? I'm sure it's the same in every home.........did they tell the herd you have to go in the opposite direction in the summer.

    It may be true for one particular case like a huge building. And today's journalism they don't care if it's true or not

    Kind of like when they say an air filter adds 20 horsepower to an engine. But don't say it's tested on an engine that is supercharged with performance cams and heads. Not a stock 100 horsepower engi.
